Ya'at'eeh! my name is Quintanya Claw and I have been living on the Navajo Nation all my life. I am 22 years old and am Deeshchiinii, born for Kinyaanii, my cheiis are Honaghanii and my nalis are Ma'iideshgizhnii. I am originally from Many Farms, AZ but reside in Chinle, Az. I am a Native American Flutist/Performer.
I enjoy being around my people and practicing my tradition and speaking my language. Using the teachings from my grandparents and parents, I have used it to help the youth all across the nation by giving them inspirational speeches on Positivity of Life, Dine' Philosophy, Dine' Language, Dine' Culture, etc. I had given motivational speeches at schools and various organizations all across the Dine' Nations as well as other states.
At a young age I developed a passion to help my people as a Leader, Educator and for Native American Music. I love the beautiful sounds of the Native American Flute. I carry the passion for Native music and began composing songs of what I see, feel as well as stories that are told to me.
My influences comes from many renowned Native American Recording Artist, such as Travis Terry, Mary Youngblood, Jay Begaye, Tiinesha Begaye, Robert Tree Cody, Radmilla Cody, Native American Educator Vine Deloria Jr., and R. Carlos Nakai. These special individuals influenced me to pursue my music and teachings to share with my native pelple and all walks of life on Mother Earth.
