BijaRi is a collective of ten artists, from São Paulo, Brazil, working together since 1996. Graduated on design, architecture and urbanism, their work consists on many forms of digital art, from graphic design to video art. On the brazilian VJ scene, BijaRi is one of the most acclaimed VJ collective by the audience, event producers, art & technology curators and new media academics. They had built a solid reputation on the scene by participating on the most important gigs, art shows and coorporate events in Brazil (for brands such as Nike, Nokia, Motorola, Red Bull, Chilli Beans Heineken, Wella, Avon, TIM, Cartier, Skol*, among others). For all these events and brands, BijaRi collective has been performing as VJs and multimedia artists, developing multimedia instalations, new interactive solutions with other forms of performing art and also especific video production. After been awarded by MTV Video Music Awards Brazil on 2004, in ‘best music video art direction’ category, they have also been developing some music videos for brazilian musicians.Their Live Images work over any kind of music, and after 5 years on Vjing, they had produced and collected a huge amount of video content for many especific music styles.On october 1st 2005, two of BijaRi artists went to participate of the cultural event ‘The Year of Brazil in France’, with a VJ performance for the Nuit Blanche party, in Paris. The yearly event is sponsored by the French Government and city of Paris, who had called out BijaRi to be part of the brazilian line up. In 2006, in april 30th, they are invited to the Brasilnoar Festival, in Barcelona, Spain. It was the opportunity to show to other countries and cities the visual art culture from Sao Paulo Brazil. Also participated in the Italian Festival Fabbrica Europa in Firenze, may 6th.
