***Having been in Nashville awhile now, I feel fortunate to be working with some great players and writers who have also become great friends. These include John Prestia (Tim McGraw), Brotherman Branchaud (Kenny Rogers), Butch Davis (Razzy Bailey), KC Martin (Hillary Duff sessions), Bruce Brown (Charlie Daniels), Dave Webb (Sugarland), Todd Woolsey (Trick Pony, Tanya Tucker), Pete Iannacone (Joss Stone), and indie artist Kevin Reeves. ***I did study at Cornish College of the Arts, but in reality, at age 17, got schooled by Jeff Hamilton and John Clayton at Bud Shank's annual jazz workshop, and was fortunate enough to study with Mel Lewis the year before he passed. Almost immediately after immersing myself in straight ahead jazz, the Seattle thing happened, and I found myself playing out, recording, and touring with all kinds of northwest bands...funk, jazz, rock, reggae, gospel, country, you name it. ***Lately I've been recording a lot with Brotherman Branchaud. He was with Kenny Rogers througout the 70's and 80's, and produces lots of projects here in Nashville. We're also playing out live at least 3 nights a week, so feel welcome to check the schedule and come on out. We try to create a good hang for players AND spectators. ***A friend once told me "if you don't appreciate what you have, you probably don't deserve it." So at this phase of my life, I'm trying to savor and appreciate all the people who MAKE my life. Mainly, my lovely wife Kathy, my family & friends, my dog Ella, and every day the lord makes.BTW The schedule is pretty accurate, so if you need some drums/vocals for a show or session, feel free to drop a line, or call this number: 615-545-1841
