credited reviews have classed Lynn Beal in that prestigious category
of an "ICON IN THE MAKING"LYNN BEAL - Studied Jazz and sang since she was seventeen,
developing her own technique and style has become her trade mark
that's made her popular and culminated to her appeal with performing
with the great legends such as ARNET COBB, CLAYTON DYCE in
Texas and now with Nashville Jazz guitarist KENNY GILL. She credits their
devotion to Jazz as an inspiration. However, Lynn Beal and the
combination that makes this ensemble so unique is the performance,
itself. As for Lynn she pours it out from her heart and soul. She attended the University of Houston majoring in Music and
Drama. Born in Texas and raised on Galveston Island, where her
mother taught dancing. Her uncle Johnny Royal, a pianist, first
discovered Lynn could sing at the age of six. Johnny encouraged his
niece to continue and as one of her biggest supporters it paid off.
Eleven years later Lynn was singing in a blues and jazz band. In her
twenties Lynn studied with jazz saxophonist Arnett Cobb and
performed in his band. After a lengthy period with Arnett Cobb's band Lynn decided to
form her own band, singing jazz and blues in clubs around the Gulf
Coast. It was during this time that Lynn started writing music. In
addition to her own band Lynn performed with numerous other
groups one of which featured a 35-piece orchestra. While she credits herself and the Jazz Ensemble as performing from the
heart, that's clearly evident, it's the Ensembles appeal and determination
that the audience appreciate and embraces..Credited reviews have classed Lynn Beal in that prestigious
