FreeCommentTags.comI was raised mostly in Asia, but thanks to my husband, I have also lived in the Middle East. My ethnic background is Cherokee and German, with a little French and Polish thrown in. I am an open book to those who take the time to ask the correct questions. I have old-fashioned values and morals. I love my family, am proud of my children, and like showing them off. I like history and cultures. I am interested in the supernatural. The whys and wherefores of almost any topic.I like to keep busy and can not stand to be idle. I have a wonderful family with my husband. We have been married since 1982. We have four children; Tiffany, Kristina, Rachel, and Nicholas. We have two grandchildren. Tiff's Ellie and Kristina's Madelyn. My son-in-law, Kristina's husband is Matthew. I believe in honesty, loyalty, and devotion. I can not abide liars, cheats, or thieves. I have always believed that the only thing you can really take to the grave with you is a good reputation. It is also the only thing that people will remember you by when you are gone. I would rather have one good friend than a thousand acquaintances. I put a lot of stock in good friends and what it takes to be one. To aquire friends, one must first prove to be friendly. What makes a relationship is what you have in common with another that is special between you. Each and every friendship will have its own kept promises and shared experiences, secret conversations that are special to just the two of you, memories that are built upon that trust and experiences shared. I am seeking friends/penpals to build friendships with. I have lived in other countries and value the differences in people and their cultures. The differences are the spice that makes life have a zing!

My Interests

MyHotCommentsI like to go to the gym, backpacking (trekking), camping, cycling, swimming, and watching sporting events; Any sport but t.v wrestling, hockey, or boxing. Although if asked... I will watch with the men in my life. Thank God they do not ask often. I like to keep busy. I like learning about others and their cultures.God, my family, my friends, photography, cooking, cleaning, sewing, and travel. I like to study people and cultures. I like history and science. I collect books, stamps, money, dolls from around the world, and life experiences. Moving has given me a broad spectrum of interests. I know a little about a lot, or so my family tells me. But, I am not a pro at any certain interest. They are too numerous to pick just one to dwell on. The most dearest to my heart is my interest in languages, cultures and people. Helping others, sharing what I have learned, and improving the quality of life for the whole world. (EVEN IF IT MEANS- ONE THING OR PERSON AT A TIME!) Hence the knowing a little about a lot!

I'd like to meet:

God first and foremost. Without God, my world would have crumbled long ago. He is the glue in my life. An eternity with Him would not be long enough! After that would have to be my new sister Sharleen and her family. I have just found them and would love to meet them in person. God willing, someday I may. I would like to meet as many people from as many cultures as possible, before I die. I would like to meet myself as others see me so I can know where and in what way I need to improve myself. Change never hurts, it is what growth is made of! To see what others see and to understand what is coming across through word and deed. To learn how to change and then do it. To grow daily. To be open to others and their opinions. To me this is true growth. How can one know what is true and what is not, unless they test it first! Learning the truth, knowing/accepting it as the truth, and then using it equates growth. Shutting down and only trusting self leads to destruction of self. We really can not survive on our own. We can only learn to live with ourselves and be happy in that state. Stagnation though leads to death! I would like to meet new people to build friendships with. Especially those who have a charitable heart and lifestyle.Dear Mr Jesus

Music:

I listen to music from around the world. Moving alot has given me an appreciation of other cultures.Christian and then most anything that is upbeat yet soothing that I can understand the words to. I like a wide variety of music and artists. If I can not understand the words, I have no interest in the music regardless of the genre. I listen to music from around the world and am amazed by the sounds one can produce from the simplest of instruments. The textures of sound when different cultures use the same instrument astounds me!

Movies:

First and foremost comedy. I like to laugh. I always felt movies were for temporary escape from the drudgeries of life for just long enough to get it back together. Laughter being the best medicine... I also like movies that teach me something... I do not have a lot of time for movies, so I buy or rent movies. That way, I can watch them at leisure, or as many times as I like...

Television:

When I have the time I like CSI type shows, murder mysteries, action/adventure, old sitcoms, and cartoon type shows What's your something?
