Crowded Logic is the first theatre company to come out of 2007s graduating year of East 15s Contemporary Theatre course.
We are currently writing and devising "Chav! Its A Musical Innit". We will be taking this show, which is based on our experiences of living in Debden, Essex, up to The Edinburgh Fringe festival in the summer of 2007 performing at the Big Belly in the popular Underbelly venue.
Chav! It’s a Musical Innit
“Chav! It’s a Musical Innit” will be Crowded Logic’s first outside show, performing at this years Edinburgh Fringe festival in August.
Following the lives of three teenagers living in a run down town on the outskirts of the tube map Chav! explores the issues of teenage culture, the rise and rise of the British National Party and how the two groups feed from each other.
This hilarious, satirical comedy really brings home its points within the working didactic of larger than life characters revealing their true selves; the antagonistic teenage contingent disclosing ambitions, fears and dreams of a better life, and the belligerent members of the “bona fide” political party expose their secret hatred, greed and fears of change all through the power of song!
Entirely devised by the cast, Chav! It’s a Musical Innit brings current issues to the stage, asking you to think about how you percieve the world whilst having a good time and finding yourself humming the tunes on your way home!
Chav! It's A Musical Innit was first performed on 2nd November 2006 as part of The Contemporary Theatre Cabaret in The Corbett Theatre, Loughton, Essex
