Playing Sept 28th Cafe Deux Soleils!!!

About Me

Blackberry Wood is Playing:Sept 28th at Cafe Deux Soleils, with Something about Reptiles, http://www.myspace.com/reptilesband and Anita George, http://www.myspace.com/anitageorgeOct 6th at a Masquerade Party in the Chapel art BuildingOct 12th for the After Burn party at the WaldorfOct 19th at RIME on Commercial DrNov 3rd at the Princeton Pub!!!Blackberry Wood is a wonderful combination of oldstyle country/ragtime/circus music and up to date krazy live drum grooves such as Hip-Hop, Funk, and the old and new 2-step.It all started when a friend asked Kris and Corinne if they would Play a New Years Gig, four days before New Years Eve. In a frenzy-- Kris and Corinne whipped together their strangest far outest mix of original material---and it was a hit! Needless to say they where invited back for the next New Years Party. After a few more gigs, and Kris churning out a huge batch of sweet songs, they decided to invite more musicians into the swamp stompin' Blackberry Woods. Muahahahaha.... First to come stumbling down the hill and waltzing in, came a slightly intoxicated and very crazy drummer---Amrit Basi. Not far behind Amrit was the Dreamy Katheryn Petersen squeezing magic from the accordion. Then, straight out of the Blue Sky, fell Jenny Gruber blasting away on her big brass Trumpet. And next--- floating down the river that runs through the Blackberry Woods, on his Acoustic bass, came Michael Allyne! Now, with Corinne playing Saxophone, Mandolin, and singing like a nightingale, and with Kris playing Guitar, singing his raspy half Country half Rap/Hip-Hop heart out, jazzing it up via a bit of modern lap top enchantments, this little Orchestra conjures up some of the most wondrous music for the whole world to enjoy!
