I was born on 2 october 1973 in the magic Sibillini's land. I am a fruit of the last year party: music, happiness, love and hope conceived me. Sure. When my mother was in the four month of pregnant i floated inside her and i could listen her heart dancing the rhythm of a bossa nova orchestra who was played during her spring journey in Sicily. I was always influenced by the green colour of my country, by the silence of her wood by the sound of her nature, sea and torrents. I come from a centre country of Italy, Marche, that presents sea and big mountains at one hour of distance. It's incredible: Sibilla' s mountain look at Adriatic sea and they were my first point of reference. I could look the beauty and i could listen the life who's still beating further them. When i went to the Sibilla's cave, at the age of 8 years old, i found the essence of my MISTURA PURA (i must say that she brought at the great Richard Wagner the sound of the Tannhauser). The Sibilla spoke to me her purity and her blend. But she also learned me that every sound, every rhythm, every colour, every meeting you can find in the life is a "mistura pura". This is the reason that brought me to love music produced by heart and earth. I love the music that speak me about world's people and their sweat. And the first genre in which i found these essence was of course Afro beat. Sound and Poetry are like Sun and Water: the first is for warnig and the second is for satisfy. My Mistura Pura "music" was born in Bologna in 1995 at Down Town Café where i worked as lady's maid and as singer of my bossa nova duo. I wrote italian song in bossa nova style and i called also a drink MISTURA PURA (gin, strawberry syrup, ginger and ice). From that moment i opened my mind to jazz music, funk, soul, latin and acid jazz who loved dancing with my musicians misturati at the club Cap Creus, Imola.

Mistura Pura is a Federica Grappasonni's musical project who involved many musicans of the world for her productions. Every time she makes a dj set it's a way to know different expressions and languages of the world. The dance dimension that lives in the jazz from its origins, the infuences of Asian and African music, in the jazz and the blues, the encounter of the jazz with the samba, the latin jazz, the electronic and the jazz progressive of the Nordic countries...These musical features were captured and puttinges to comparison in the Mistura Pura dj set. In this space you will listen her productions: Federica wrote Bossa Colorata in 2004 for the international compilation Milano Clubbing (Aries/Audioglobe) who is also available on I-Tunes store. Vamo Vivé was conceived in Milan the year after. You can listen Mistura Pura dj set every thursday at Bhangrabar from 19.30 to 22. It is the only one melting pot international happy hour in Milan.
