“Tarantavirus – The impoverished spiderâ€Cesare Dell’Anna together with Deejay Jack in the City (Guido Nemola – Dario Lotti), Monodeluxe (Alex Oliviero), DJ Dann (Daniele Miglietta), Science Force (Daniele De Rossi) and 11/8 Records, everyone with their own peculiar style, are called to interpret in electronic key, traditional Salento music with particular attention to its interpreters, first of all Uccio Aloisi (pictured), to whom this work is dedicated.
All the musical- and cultural inheretence that is integrated with the DNA of this young label from Salento, and of its interpreters, goes in a river of rhythmic plots and unique harmonies, most of the time unrepeatable.
At the end of listening to the record, the rhythmic construction, based on a berimbau that plays with a chorus of tambourines of Salento, will sound natural. Tarantavirus is, in effect, an electronic embrace of Salento and of its tradition to all the ‘south of the world’.The piece “Lu Ragno impoverito†(the impoverished spider) included on this record, were released at the same time as DJ Ralf’s production on vinyl format with its label “La Terra†and with the versions produced by Cesare Dell’Anna, Pasta Boys, Guido Nemola and Dario Lotti.
