Yes, another underground shit:
PIPPI KID (alias PIPPI LANGSTRUMPF) is an electronic music disc jockey and visual artist born in Rome as Chiara Nicoletta Consuelo Iole Fumai in the same year of Never Say Die by Black Sabbath.
After a beginning as resident of the Lobby Nights in the Rocket club (Milano), she has obtained in few years the black belt of techno-discoplaying on international radio shows, clubs, squatts, galleries, festivals and workshops such as Impulse in Beijing (2006) and Red Bull Music Academy in Toronto (2007).
Inspired by Drexciya and the irony of italo disco her dj style is focused on researching the roots of electro, through maximal techno and terror beats mixed with 80s atmospheres (Clone, Pigna, Creme, Rephlex, Discomagic, Bunker, Planet E, Disc8, Tresor...).
Currently Pippi is djing as solo or in duo with Casco, working on her first tracks and , producing videos, installations and performances.
She lives between Milan and Switzerland, her best friend is a famous magician and she has never been to Ibiza.
