I Manipura si formano a Milano nel settembre 2005 nell’attuale formazione che vede Marco Cacciatore alla batteria, Sergio Guida alla voce,Sergio Pirola alla chitarra e Luca Yeuillaz al basso. È forte già da subito la volontà di produrre pezzi propri per dare sfogo alla propria creatività e alla propria voglia di comunicare ogni loro stato d’animo, sia esso positivo che negativo. Lo fanno con i mezzi a loro più familiari ossia quella musicalità che è maturata negli anni, militando anche in gruppi diversi con sound differenti. I testi anche se in molti li giudicano volti al sociale, al politico, definiscono ed esprimono la realtà che li circonda. Il periodo difficile che il mondo sta attraversando si rispecchia nei loro testi e le loro parole sono un invito a riflettere, ad essere più consapevoli su ciò che ci circonda. Una frase che mi troverebbe d’accordo sarebbe definire i Manipura “l’espressione e la visualizzazione della quotidianità dell’uomoâ€. Nel febbraio 2005 esce il loro primo Demo "La Macchia Umana" con 10 brani inediti supportato con serate e contest delegando proprio a questi, se cosi si può dire, la sua promozione. Proprio la partecipazione al Dreamwave Contest, concorso nazionale, li vedrà partecipare alle finali regionali tenute al Transilvania live di Milano. Il gruppo ha avuto l’onore di essere intervistato dal dj Ariel su radio Rockfm all’interno del programma Demolition dove è stato trasmesso poi il brano “ Le Tre Scimmie “. Il loro Ep “ La Macchia Umana “ è stato recensito su riviste del panorama metal quali Metal Shock, sul numero di agosto, e su Metal Hammer del mese successivo e su Rock Sound . Entrambe le recensioni hanno sancito le potenzialità del gruppo e le sue qualità pur muovendo critiche ai loro testi considerati a volte troppo “ politici “.I Manipura fanno già parlare di sé..sia nel bene,sia nel male… Infatti sempre grazie al loro Ep hanno ottenuto la collaborazione della Samigo,una partecipazione nella compilation di Radio LSD Network .
