The sound definitely tips ist hat to the eighties, one hears „Supertramp“, post-Gabriel „Genesis“, „mike and the Mechanics“ etc., but „Extremely Normal“ easily manage to set their own mark.Band Bio:Extremely Normal is the brainchild of songwriter/composer and guitarist Christian Ehmer, who founded the group in that summer of 2000. Having survived the obligatory line – up changes, the current formation is active since early 2004. The rhythmical root of it all is the rhythm section, consisting of Marco Menzel on bass and Bastian Schmitz on Drums. Bastian Müller ..s and Christian Ehmer’s guitars are responsible for harmonies, textures, tone and arrangement. The voice of the group is Petra Wirges, a professional singer with almost 30 + years of stage experience under her belt is the front – woman to this outfit. She ranges from soft, cozy soul to aggressive blues, operette-like vibrato to Joni Mitchell. She puts her heart into these songs, it’s hard to believe they aren’t her lyrics. But it is true, Christian Ehmer is the author behind the stories about everything that defines all of us as human beings.
