Ofrin - "Time for a decision" live @ KenFM 17.06.07
Israeli vocalist Ofri Brin isn’t one of those artists who falls into any one category. Her velvet voice is sultry, yet she’s ironically humorous and candid, soul is her bedrock, but not exclusively. Born and raised in Israel, Ofri Brin, 24, a unique singer began singing when she was 14. At the age of 17 she left Israel to work as a singer in New York. Six months later she had to return to Israel in order to commit to her two years military service and became a sergeant for a division that was responsible for troop entertainment. After finishing her service and working on various music projects in her homeland and New York, she came to Berlin and founded Ofrin with Oded K.dar, whom she had met back years earlier during her service in Israel. Shortly later the two musicians started working on their debut album "Rust & Velvet" which got produced by Guy Sternberg at "LowSwing" studios . Since November 2005 Ofrin perform with growing success at clubs, events and festivals. Unlike the pieces of "Rust & Velvet" with its satiny smooth jazz, the band’s latest songs have also integrated the energetic mood of their live performances.
