Shahar Vaknin is a singer/songwriter with a unique approach to sound and impressive vocal presence which dominates in the Israeli music landscape. In 2005 he formed Deadwood , an alternative rock band, along with Alon Rosh on drums, Hezi Abrss on bass and Tal Kanel on guitars.
The naked songs quickly wore a full band production and the band started to perform them live. The first single titled "My Sleepy Town" was released in 2006 and received great reviews and radio play in local stations and made it to the playlist of Cambridge U Radio, UK.
In 2007 the band self-released their first EP titled "Penny For Your Thoughts" and spent the year performing the songs to a loyal growing audience. In 2008 he began to handle with other elements of his music influences and inspirations. The result – a unique electro-folk/rock approach that , in collaboration with producer/engineer Dan Shalev , adopted to be the foundation of a new project. "Part Of The Circle" reflects a new side in his artistic-musical journey and contains 10 tracks dealing with daily grey situations.
