I got inspired by thinking about children that died in the Uganda wars since 1986, also contemplating Roni's mum (her lovliness) and the lovely bones (the little girl goes to heaven). As usual, no TV so I make my own entertainment. So I came up with this motif. It's kind of celtic but that's hidden behind Michael Nyman style piano playing. But I try to be more minimalist. I'm intending to marry this idea with new sounds from ATMOSPHERE which gives me amazing orchestral sounds to go with haunting piano. I may never get to compose for THE LOVELY BONES film. But frankly, who cares, I just love creating stuff anyway and it gives me joy to share it with you guys. Main point is that I wanted to capture that feeling the Ugandan kids have. That there is hope, there is always hope, so long as you can have faith and keep moving forward. The triplets in the treble convey that feeling of inertia and momentum that souls have as they strive for something better.

In the video below Glyn recites Roni's poetry live on video. He also improvises some original impromtu music to go with the "feeling" and the "message" of the poem as a tribute to Roni and to lovers everywhere. This video was recorded live without any editing or rehearsal. It is the second of two takes. The first takes is in the blog entitled BLOOPER as the volume on the vocal was too quiet.

Callaghan was interviewed live on air via phone on the CMA award winning Tim & Willy Drivetime Show. Karen Swanson (from the Elmer family) also took part in the studio in Phoenix. DJs Tim and Willy were captivated by this story and are promoting it on their Clear Channel station web page. The Show featured the song, the interview and the charity EP, which is on sale across Arizona and northern parts of Nevada as far as Las Vegas. "Well, here's a little bit about myself. My name is Karen and even though my last name is Swanson, I like that, my maiden name is Elmer because I grew up with that name, so it's kind of sentimental. Besides, I'm not exactly married anymore, I'm legally separated. I have 3 children; Erik is 19 and lives in Cottonwood, AZ, Keith is 14 and lives with me, and Kelsey is 9 and lives with me. I come from a very large family. I have 3 brothers and 3 sisters. My twin, Sharon and I are the youngest of the seven. I am three minutes older than her."
"While growing up mostly in Chicago, I spent my summers in Sedona, where my Dad grew up, visiting his family on his homestead, which was then called Jackass Flats. Now it is called Elmersville. As all of us kids grew up, we each moved to Arizona after finishing high school or the military, with the exception of one brother, who still lives in Chicago. My parents did eventually move back to Arizona as well. They are now in Heaven and their gravesites are in a very special pioneer cemetery in Sedona."
"My education was mostly focused around my Catholic faith during my elementary and high school years. I did go to NAU in Flagstaff, got my Bachelor's degree in Medical Radiography so I could take x-rays, but eventually specialized in ultrasound. I love to show moms their babies. It saves lives. I am pro-life. I love music, especially country, oldies, piano, well a lot of stuff, just not very much into rap or really really hard rock (but I love good old rock 'n roll). And I love to care about people. Snoopy is WAY COOL and so are my friends and family, and those who put their lives on the line for us in the military to keep people free."

Q: "What is the blue sofa?"
A: "The Blue Sofa is essentially a chair, so sit on it".
Q: "Why does it exist?"
A: "I don't know. I had just finished reading Terry Pratchett's COLOUR OF MAGIC and other books in which THE LUGGAGE would appear and disappear at it's own will and without reason. The blue sofa is here at the moment, but we don't know how long it's here for or what will happen when people sit on it. We are experimenting with it to see what is supposed to happen. We just figured that if we put the blue sofa on my space someone might recognise it as something they would want to sit on and that they would know what to do with it. We think people might want to sit on it and talk about themselves and their music. Given it's location at the centre of the Universe in Cuba Street, Wellington, it could be a spot that touring artists visit and promote their life and musical experience while in Wellington. We don't know for sure. The only instructions that came with the sofa when it appeared are on a label which says blatantly "sit on it". So that's why we're asking you to sit on it."

Q: "How are you analising the blue sofa?"
A: "We have it (the blue sofa) under close observation with a Logitech motorised high grade web cam interfaced with an Audiophile USB 2.0 A/D interface for quality sound. If anything happens we can monitor it and share the results immediately with the world. We have pianos, keyboards and caffeine and di's for acoustic guitars. The mezzanine floor allows two levels of dimensional viewing so that you could see someone sitting above someone else, all of this happens live. Experiments will be conducted similarly to ROVE or JOOLS HOLLAND. However, imagine if www.rehearsals.com ever went broke and lost all their equipment and operated from home. That's what the blue sofa is like."

Q: "Who is allowed to sit on it?"
A: "Only G rated musical, comical, artistic and conversational activites are aloud on the blue sofa but these activities may be conducted by any kind of living being, including animals, some of which are people."
Q: "What is the location?"
A: "This information can be divulged only on a "need to know" basis. While the sofa has no practical physical value that we are aware of, it's insurance listing and metaphysical insurance rating lists it as "irreplacable and unique". We don't know what will happen on the blue sofa so we have 1 million dollars public liability insurance just in case it leaves while someone is on it. We don't know how long it will stay, dimensionally or otherwise. It is not governed by the laws of physics that other static objects are subject to."
Q: "What of the rumour that the sofa was part of recent series of gamma experiments performed by US military by a famed String Theory Physicist based on the laws of the Theory of Everything?"
A: "We can neither confirm or deny that the space time continuum has been distorted by the blue sofa until we experiment with someone sitting on it and we evaluate the data with the my space audience. We look forward to gaining further understanding of it's origins. We have stood there and looked at it for long periods of time. The results of our tests thus far are inconclusive."
A: "Oh yes, another tag that we found on the underside of the sofa reads; "A place for friends". So this might give some clues about who should sit on it." We also found a web link under the sofa which might give some clues as to the original location from whence the blue sofa came.
