Life rocks, so why does it take something like cancer to wake us up and make us value life more?

About Me

PLEASE CHECK OUT MY BLOGS FOR IMPORTANT INFO....
BELOW IS THE SLIDE SHOW FROM THE BENEFIT CONCERT.
SORRY EVERYONE ISNT IN IT...
I HOPE TO SOON HAVE A VIDEO POSTED
WHICH WILL SHOW CLIPS OF ALL THE AWESOME BANDS!!! :)
Please review the info on this site, and in the blogs, before sending a friend request to it. Its important that friends on this site are here for the same reason... my dad, and the fight to get him better. I appreciate all of you, and I thank those who choose to be our friend, and help and support this cause.
The company I work for, Hard Volume Records, Ron of Forwardhead, and I have decided to put this site together for my dad, Ron Lambert, who has been fighting cancer; and my mom, Phyllis, who, of course, can't make it better or make it go away on her own, but makes sure he is taken care of the best way she can.
My parents have spent most of their savings on medication and radiation treatments, having to cash savings bonds that they had put away for retirement. On December 5th, 2006, my dad had surgery to have the cancer removed. Since the cancer was located in his rectum, they also had to remove his rectum and anus, making it where Dad has to permanently wear a colostomy bag. He had to stay in the hospital for 8 days while he was recovering. He is still in alot of pain everyday. My dad began chemo the week after the benefit concert which has lasted for 3 months.
My mom has continued working hard paying all the house bills and everything since Dad lost the job he'd been working at due to missing so much work (thank God he was able to collect unemployment), and if mom wasn't such a good money handler, I don't know where they'd be right now.
Mom has always put herself last, spending on nothing for herself but the necessities, ever. She has given for her family more than anyone I know would give, asking for nothing in return. So with that in mind, we wanted to bless my mom & dad with a monetary gift. One that would relieve this financial burden and allow them to not have to live the rest of their lives in debt over this. My Dad even sold his motorcycle for more money and may even have to sell his 1955 Custom Ford that he's had for 9 years, which he reconstructed. I dont want him to have to do that.
Everything I've mentioned is why Hard Volume Records, Forwardhead and I had decided to do a benefit to help my parents so we could help my dad get better! We are still accepting donations. In the blogs above you can find our contact info to send donations. Even $5 adds up. We really need the support for my dad. Besides, nobody else likes to mow the grass! :) Love ya dad.

My Interests

If it wasn't for the interest of my boss and friend, Joe Natoli, and the interest of my boyfriend Ron Turner of Forwardhead, none of this could be possible. I thank them for their help and support in this difficult time. And the interest of all my friends, including the bands who are on this site... you will make this successful! Thank you!!

I'd like to meet:

Friends.
The benefit concert was Sunday January 21, 2007 at the House of Rock. This couldn't have come at a better time because the week after the concert my dad began chemo. He had to undergo chemo for 3 months. We really need your continued support. We've raised $3700.00 so far from donations and the concert. This has helped alot!! We appreciate all you've done to help so far!! Thank you!

Transactions are handled by PayPal, but you DON'T have to have a PP account to donate!!

If anyone knows anything about cancer, you know that it does NOT play fair. My best friend lost both of her parents to it. I saw what she went through. It is fast, robs you blind, and ruins lives. We need help from all who care to battle this relentless disease. See my blogs on ways you can help. Thank you!

Music:

Tool, Pantera, Alice in Chains, A Perfect Circle, Evanescence, Demon Hunter, Saviour Machine, P.O.D, Pillar, Kutless, Third Day... to name a very few!

Forwardhead

Television:

CSI, and the UFC!!

Heroes:

Jesus, who tells us all things are possible if we believe. And my mom who has always been self-sacrificing throughout my entire life. And still, thru all this, she is smiling, hiding her true feelings, not asking for help, saying "its no one else's problem, so I'm not going to bring them down with mine." She's trying to do this all on her own. What a heavy burden to carry by herself! So, I want to help not only my dad, but my mom who is the one helping my dad, the one who says to him "Yes, you have the cancer, but we feel the cancer. We love you. You can't give up."
Love ya mom and dad.
