I will always keep a candle lit in my mind while I pray in remembrance of my Mother.
"LifeIs a Journey! We cannot predict it's beginning nor it's ending....however, it is what we accomplish in the time in between that establishes who we are...and how we will be remembered" (c) Roni, 2006
SHE DANCES BY MOONLIGHT
She dances by moonlight
Her hands in the air
Her raven hair tumbling
On shoulders so bare
Her lips part in smile
As she twirls all around
And sways to the music
Not making a sound
Her hands stretching upward
Grasping stars overhead
Eyes twinkling with pleasure
Lips dripping with red
Her rhythm so perfect
Keeping time with the tune
Her slender hips swaying
As she winks at the moon
Her smoldering eyes
Flash like stars in the night
As she swings to the music
Her dance steps so light
She captures your heart
As she whirls to the beat
This beautiful maiden
With wings on her feet

My Mom and I both loved Andrea Bocelli. We had the privilege of attending his special Christmas concert here in Phoenix last year. It was a concert that was truly unforgettable. My Mom talked about it up until the time she slipped away.
Over the years I have been the fan of Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, the Beatles, Elton John, Cher, Barbra Streisand, Michael Bolton, Kenny G, Barry Manilow, Tom Jones, Kenny Rogers, Celine Dion, Tina Turner, ABBA, the Fifth Dimension, Ricky Martin, David Benoit, Karen Carpenter, Billy Joel and Three Dog Night just to name a few. I have had the privilege of seeing most of them live, in concert too. I love the music of Andrea Bocelli and am excited about getting to see Il Divo in concert with Barbra Streisand! Obviously, I like all genres of music..and if I like it..I buy it!
My Mom loved all types of music. She was a fan of Bocelli and Pavrotti just to name a few. She also loved wonderful dance music like the Viennese waltzes and Hawaiian hulas. My Mom simply loved to dance and loved music.
My late husband and I both loved the Phantom of the Opera. We had the privilege of seeing the Broadway production several times as well as the movie version.
My Mom finally got to see the movie last Winter when she was here and it quickly became her favorite too.
I love to read autobiographies and biographies. However, recently I have begun to read books on psychology and dealing with death of a parent and husband. I also have a collection of Chicken Soup for the Soul books given to me by friends to help me through this difficult time.
Every member in my family is a HERO!
My Mother will always be the most beautiful woman in the world to me. I will always remember how she loved to dance.
I love my family and am so proud of my kids and grandkids!
In memory of my Mom who lost her 23 year old battle with breast cancer on 12/11/2006.
