Lush For Life is a satirical comedy newspaper based in Tampa, Florida, that specializes in bringing the public only the most intriguing and entertaining news, ranging from local, domestic news as well as the most ridiculous, outlandish updates from around the globe.
Lush For Life's staff is made up of a diverse writing and technical team, with backgrounds ranging from a variety of different sources. On Lush For Life..s board of senior writers is South Africa..s own international business swindler Duncan Idaho, who is also the designer and creator of the news organization; Dr. Egbert Souse, a product of the rural Deep South and English scholar, who provides an insightful voice reminiscent of the classic reporting of the 1920s; James Avalon, a formally classical trained musician of the Berkley School of Music turned award winning beat writer, who possesses a poignant and precise investigative reporting style that is matched by few; and Danny Albertson, of New Orleans, Louisiana, who brings to Lush For Life his knowledge of off-beat field work and heads a contemporary resurgence of the classic Gonzo style of journalism.
Lush For Life employs over a thousand field reporters, writers, and editors in its massive international news conglomerate, with offices in every major market on four different continents, with its home office located in Tampa, Florida, and new branches scheduled to open in early 2008 in Antarctica and the planet Mars.
Duncan Idaho
Mr. Idaho is a Senior Writer, Web Designer, and Managing Director for Lush For Life. Born in South Africa, Idaho perused his career in international business and infrastructure at an early age, transferring from the local RAU University to Stanford University in California, where he completed his MBA. He later went on to study at Cambridge, where he studied under the world renowned professor Sir Landen Oxenfladen, and then completed his Doctorate at Oxford under Dr. George Klindon.
Aside from writing for Lush For Life, he also pursues his career in international trade by importing and exporting random goods from the Middle East to the United States, ranging from hookah smoking devices to aluminum tubing and high-tech explosives. When he..s not writing and designing for Lush For Life, he enjoys playing golf at St. Andrew..s in Scotland, and supervising the development of his family..s winery, Ross-Munro Vineyards, in South Africa. During the summer months, he resides onboard his luxurious full-sized yacht off the coast of Hong Kong, snorting cocaine off the breasts of $10,000 female escorts while further developing his off-shore contacts with Japanese and Chinese businessmen.
Danny Albertson
Mr. Albertson is a Senior Staff Writer for Lush For Life, as well as Head Photographer. He was born and raised in New Orleans, and spent his summers in rural Florida, where he met future Lush For Life colleague Egbert Sousé. After completing his Bachelor..s Degree in Journalism at New York University, he went on to study photography at Parsons University in New York. His first job was writing for a local newspaper in Montego Bay, Cuba, covering underground cock fights.
Mr. Albertson later went on to write for The San Juan Tribune, where he was also Chief Photographer, then transferring back to his hometown and working for The New Orleans Times-Picayune, where he was the Head Sports Columnist, and met future colleague James Avalon. He currently lives in Tampa, Florida, where he works for LushForLife.com, and spends his off time between his studio apartment in New York City and his cabin in the Everglades, where he poaches alligators onboard his full-sized airboat and distills his own bourbon whiskey in his backyard swamp.
Egbert Sousé
Dr. Sousé is a columnist and the Senior Editor for Lush For Life. Born and raised in the rural Deep South, Dr. Sousé attended University of Vanderbilt, where he received his Bachelor..s Degree in Mass Media, then going on to Georgetown for his Master..s, and eventually graduating from Brown University with a Doctorate Degree in English, where he studied under the highly respected writer and journalist Dr. Leonard Epstein. Dr. Sousé has written articles for a variety of publications, including Newsweek, Time, and The Boston Globe.
When not working, Dr. Sousé enjoys spending his leisure time at the local horse tracks, where he places two dollar bets and attempts to make contact with extra-terrestrial life. He currently lives in Tampa, Florida, and during the summer months he resides at his remote villa in Key West, Florida, where he enjoys drinking home-made Absinthe while he continues to complete his Great American Novel.
