I have made it my unique mission to bridge the world of traditional psychotherapy with spirituality and transformational healing. One of my primary goals in coaching is to share what I have learned in my own personal journey with others. Early in my life I never would have imagined that one day I would publish books. I had a difficult beginning. I graduated high school without the ability to read. But one high school teacher, while she was dying of cancer, encouraged me to continue learning. Before she died she told me, “Donna don’t settle. Don’t let anyone, any test, or any thing outside of yourself tell you how smart you are. Only you know why you were born and what you have come to share with the world.†She inspired the life I live today. She turned my life around and lit an eternal flame inside me to give back.
Over the past 10 years, as part of my journey I traveled to sacred sites in Bali, England, Egypt, India, Mexico, Peru and Tibet, exploring the evolutionary healing gifts that these ancient places have offered the world. Insights and wisdom gathered from these journeys impacted not only my own personal growth, but have since allowed me to facilitate others in lifting them into completely new thought in relationship to everyday challenges. Over the course of my studies and exploration of alternative healing techniques such as energy psychology, shamanism, spirituality and meditation, I discovered that traditional psychotherapy ignored higher consciousness and did not address the mind-body-spirit connection. It has been one of my goals to provide a counseling alternative that respects this relationship.
I am licensed in New York as a Mental Health Counselor and Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am also a Reiki Master and a certified relationship specialist through the American Psychotherapy Association. I earned my BA degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Education in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of North Texas.
