I have worked in all aspects of the Video production line... I have set up and taken down lights and grids. I have ran cameras and video switchers as well as audio mixers. I worked on scene design. I also do editing. I use Final Cut Pro and i-Movie. I enjoy the editing best because that is where it all comes together!
In the Graphics field, I work with Quark, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I learned on the four color proofing system. Then checked color and wording before it went off to the printers. Now everything is done by computers.
I like home remodeling and love wood work of any kind. Because of this, I am very handy for stage design. I have built stage props and helped paint background images. I think the hardest thing I had to overcome was exaggerating the depth perception...
I like all aspects of water activities! I like Fishing, Boating, Scuba Diving, and snorkeling among others. I fish whenever I get a chance, which I am sad to say hasn't been much lately. I am a Master Diver. I love snorkeling in the Caribbean Islands, I was able to hold my breathe for over 4 minutes, use to scare people because I would stay under so long and they didn't know where I was. I use to scare people when I would go diving in the lake without a tank because I would be down for so long...
I mainly like to play Tennis, Volleyball, Golf, and ride my bike. I like other sports as well. I like to watch Hockey, Football, Baseball, Tennis, and Volleyball. There are times, I go for a bike ride and be gone for hours. Yes, I am riding the whole time. I love to ride, it is my escape. When I was in France, I would ride 25 miles a day in the mountains. Tour de France...
My Hobbies are Stained Glass, Cooking, Gardening, and Wood Work. Sandie is teaching me the fine art of Stained glass work even though my Great Uncle use to do it for a living. Yes, I like being in the kitchen, I prefer creating my own recipes! I always watch Alton Brown's show "Good Eats" because of the scientific breakdown. I hate to follow someone else's recipes...
Instruments I enjoy playing are the Guitars, Banjos, Piano, and the Horn. I play my guitar like I play the banjo, pickin'. I am currently taking piano lessons.
One thing I would Love to learn is the fine art of furniture making, if you know or know anyone who does know, and are willing to share the secrets with me, let me know!
