Dulaman

Dulaman. Original Acoustic band from Cheshire UKs

About Me

Formed in 1999, Dulaman has experienced many changes in their style of music. Originally, their style embraced many of the bluegrass techniques of flatpicking, taking breaks etc. Other influences such as folk, classical and pop were also brought onboard, changing their sound in many ways. They have experience of supporting major artists such as Sandi Thom, Seth Lakeman, Glen Tilbrook, Waterson:Carthy, Oyster Band, Flook. They have played at festivals in the UK, and at the prestigious Folkest festival in Italy. Earlier in 06 they headlined the festival in Anchorage Alaska US. Since the change of band format earlier this year, they have decided to take a short break from gigging and concentrate on developing new material, and a sound which fits into particular genres more easily, with Anna leading the vocals. At the same time their second CD is being recorded ready for a re launch, possibly with a new band name. They would still be interested in organisers contacting them for gigs next year. Watch this space for details! However, for anyone interested in the former four piece line up sound, just for you we have uploaded an amateur video of a 20 min concert at the Assembly Rooms Derby in 2004.

These include complex flat picking patterns, rhythm, bass runs and harmonics.
Influences: So many genres of music influence Dulaman's music, but they include classical, blues, jazz, bluegrass, folk, rock and pop. Other bands influences include Alison Krauss, Levellers, Nickel Creek, and many many more.Dulaman at Assembly Rooms Derby 2004
