My new book:
    Dear friends, casual acquaintances, total strangers, and people who will deny they know me:
    My name is Wendy C. Allen.
    I am a writer.
    I write fiction.
    What is my genre? I really don’t know. I do not stick to just one. It depends on my mood I suppose.
    Some of my work reads like horror. A lot of it in fact actually looks like horror, feels like horror, and bleeds like horror. Haunted houses. A serial killer. Cannibals. Freaks. Vampires. An insane asylum. Yep, on the surface it looks an awful lot like horror. Gothic maybe?
    But than there is the heart of the story. The romance. The lovers. The affairs. The heartaches. It may look like horror but it leans heavy toward romance as well.
    Of course lets not forget the star ships. The aliens. The laser weapons. The portal through solid matter. The intergalactic space wars. The planet made of ice. Another planet made of fire. The mad scientist bent on eternal life. The theme seems to just scream science fiction and space opera.
    But wait, I’m overlooking the faeries, namely the Phookas and Sireans, those mischievous creatures from Fae. And the evil sorcerer bent on global intergalactic domination. The ice dragon. The talking cats. A pink frog and his blue zebra. The mushroom forest. Eight foot tall humanoid birds. And blue skinned creatures with formidable “magic” powers. It’s starting to sound like fantasy now.
    What is my genre? I have no idea and quite frankly, I really don’t care. I write the Twighlight Manor series and it is a genre unto itself, I just follow its story to wherever it may lead. Why should I pigeonhole it into a one size fits all genre?

    I love making new friends. Always look forward to meeting new people in cyberspace. I'm looking to network with the following types of people, so if you come under this list, go ahead and send me a friend request:

    Other authors, writers, readers, libraries, book stores, editors, artists, illustrators, publishers, magazines, agents, reviewers, book collectors, and other people in the publishing industry who like to read/write/create gothic, horror, fantasy, science fiction, adventure, mystery, gothic romance, children's books, comic books, and most other type books too.

    People in the "haunted house business", be it theme parks and amusements or filmmaking and movies, ghost hunters, or the haunted houses themselves (both real and fictional).

    People who love faeries, phookas, sirens, alien worlds, mermaids, unicorns, fairy tale princesses, wizards, furries, sci-fi, fantasy, ufos, paranormal, vampires, and dark fantasy.

    Anyone who is creative: writers, artists, fashion designers, doll makers, and other such people, etc.

    People involved in saving/rescueing animals. Others who like me are vegan animal-rights activists. Members of PETA, WWF, Greenpeace, and all other such groups. People who love birds, roosters, bantams, cats, and eels. Anyone who devotes their life to making this world a better place. EVERYONE who loves poultry, cats, bobcats, or eels and well stop at nothing to protect them. All those who love the ocean and it's wonderful creatures.

    People who like me, love the ocean, love sand and surf, and beaches and waves, and the salt air, and smell of seaweed after a storm, and pier-fries with vinager... and oh yeah, if you live anywhere along Maine's amazing, beautiful, wonderful coast, and if you think that the coast of Maine is Heaven on Earth, than send me a request.

    People who love all ocean life, both real and fictional: from eels and stingrays to mermaids and sirens, and all who will do anything to protect our wounderful oceans.

    I love books with faeries in them. I esp love books with water faeries (sirens, mermaids, kelpies, silkies, etc.) in them, both children's and adult's books. Mermaids & Sirens are my fave fearie-type creatures. If you are a writer of such books, send me a request and also post a comment telling me about your book, I'd love to read it.

    Brian Froud is the god of fearie authors and faerie artists... if you are a fellow fan of his books, his art, or his 2 movies (Labyrinth & The Dark Crystal), or if you write books or paint art like his, than I'd love to add you to my friends list, as well.

I'm always looking for new books to read, who knows, yours just might be the next one I pick. I always love to promote books, so writers are more than welcomed to use my comment box to promote their books with.

    Oh yeah... and one last thing you should know: I am a long time active bycotter and protestor of vivisection, Draize, P&G, battery farms, etc. and I post a lot of bulletins of that nature... if getting bulletins like that bothers you, than don't send a friend request to me.


I Do Not Want to Meet:

hmmmm.... the strange friend requests I've been getting requires me to add this final notice to my profile:

I check the profiles of the requests I get, and while most everyone who requsets to be added to my list gets approved, I do have a few guidelines that well get your profile denied from my friends list:


    1) No Porn... any profiles with porn get zapped quicker than anything else (and reported, because porn is not allowed on MySpace.) If your profile is set to private due to mature/adult content (yes, MySpace sends a message with your request, telling me that that is the reason it is set to private), it'll be denied.

    2) No spam... this meaning "take this survy and make millions!" type of profiles. (these are also reported as these are also not allowed on MySpace)

    3) If you are linking back to porn or spam, I won't report you, but I will deny you.

    4.) If you are on my friends list and than suddenly you aren't anymore, ask yourself this: how many comments/IMs/emails did you send me asking me to take a survy to make millions? If the answer was more than one, than, yep, I blocked you and reported you. One such comment from you is ok, but 5 or 6 each and every day is getting pretty annoying, esp when 10 or 20 people are each sending 4 or 5 a day. Not smart on your part. :(

    5.) I'm an animal rights activist, if your profile promoted hunting, trapping, or otherwise harming and maiming animals, than that's why you were denied.



EXTRA NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS:

    I've had to delete several comments because of there "porn graphics" nature; I also delete all the ringtone, survy, refinance, MLM, get-rich-quick, are-you-tired-of-being-single, check-out-my-adult-photos, and other spammy type posts.

    In responce to all those and future comments like them I have this to say:

    Nope, I don't care to have a sexy afternoon, a normal one will do just fine, thank you. Besides, didn't you read my profile? You're sending your porn star girly pics to a straight female! What would I want with those? You really want to wish me a sexy weelend? Send me pictures of C*C*DeVille.

    I do not own a phone, nor do I own a cellphone. I have no phonenumber, no one calls me, because there is no phone to call me on, and I'm not likely to ever own a phone at any time in the future either, as I really do not see the need to have one. So no I have no need for a thousand and one free ringtones.

    When I first started useing the internet in 1997, I took about 40 suries a day, I did that for several months... I never saw a single penny for my trouble. Taking survies for money is a scam... send me links to them only if you want me to delete you off my friend's list.

    Only a fool would jepodizes his home by refinancing it. Have no debt and you will have no worries.

    If you want me to join a Multi-Level-Marketing program, you had better be offering me an exectutive office with a view of the ocean, full medical, and a salary of at least $45 per hour, to be one of the CEO of the corperation. I only want to be on the top level of MLM, so if you are offering one of the lower levels, than you can take your offer and jump off a cliff, cause I don't want it.

    Sure, I'd love to get rich quick! Who wouldn't? But I want to get rich by work a 100% real live career, not by spamming people to death, so, nope, sorry, no deals.

    Nope, I'm not tired of being single. I have yet to see one single happy couple, so nope, I'll just stick to writing books about fictional guys and wait to meet one of them in the next life, preferibly Etiole.

    My, my, my...did you not know that adult photos are not alowed on mySpace... well, I guess I'll just have to forward your comment to Tom!
