HART of Maine

We are a no-cage and no-kill shelter and adoption center for cats located in Cumberland, Maine.
HART's mission is to provide refuge, comfort, and medical attention to cats and kittens that have been surrendered, abandoned, injured, or abused, and to place them in loving, carefully-chosen homes. When you adopt from HART, you agree to keep your cat indoors.
HART is a member of the American Humane Association.

The construction of HART's new shelter is complete. It's located at 302 Range Road, on the corner of Range Road and Route 26/100 in Cumberland.

...from Maine Turnpike Exit 53: Proceed 4.3 miles north on Route 26/100, turn right onto Range Road, HART is the first building on your right.
...from Gray Center: Proceed 6.2 miles south on Route 26/100, turn left onto Range Road, HART is the first building on your right.
The shelter has an "open house" on the first Saturday of every month from 11-3, otherwise, the shelter is only open by appointment.
