Princess still needs help with her ACL surgery! We have raised $70 of the $1,000 so far! Here's her story:
This pretty Princess (who is only 3-4 years old) started limping after coming indoors one day, so her human mom took her into the vet, where she was diagnosed with a ruptured cruciate ligament in her R hind leg. Given an estimate of $1500, she started looking for someone else to take her beloved pet knowing she couldn't afford the surgery she needed, not wnting to pet her down, and not wanting to see her suffer. That's where we came in! Unfortunately, before we were able to get Princess, a room mate of her owner "felt bad" for the dog being shut up in the bedroom, and left her loose in the backyard.(the Doctors recommendation of KEEP THE PET CALM didn't mean a thing to them)... later that day, Princess came inside dragging both of her legs behind her... and then was rushed to the same vet and got diagnosed with the same thing in her L hind leg!

After getting Princess into our care, we were able to find a surgeon who would do Princess' surgery for $1,000 per leg(which is where I work - everywhere else qouted $1500+) She had her first surgery(on her R leg, which was worse) on 3/13/09. We were able to raise $300 towards that surgery! The surgery for her second leg is currently scheduled for 4/3/09 - which may need to be changed, depending on how well/fast the R leg heals. We really need the community help to raise some money for this one, as I don't have the finances available to pay for another expensive surgery myself. Please use the chipin to donate even a small amount to help this girl get back her quality of life! EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS!
