About Me

Well lately i've been doin some VJing, music production and assorted performance stuff...mostly either on my own as ChiKiTroniX or as part of ChikiPussy...In the years gone by i have had the divine pleasures of frolicking amongst some of the most inspiring and innovative national and international artists at many of the most wikidest parties and festivals ever, getting up to all sorts of creative collaborations.....i've done lots of performance work, both solo and in troupes, such as: Electric Angelic,abit of circus work with Sistaweb in Lismore-Nimbin back in the early 90's and with the Sushumna Dancers around the early Earthdance days... did some installation and decor work at heaps of parties and festies and heapsa fun street performances with allsortsa interesting types like Chigana People Dance Company, Sproing, The Dharma Drummers, The Sambanistas and others...after moving back to WA i founded MotherShip and put on lots of gigs, big and small, did abit of djing, abit of vjing and some more performance work with Earth SiStars and ElectriCircuiTree...but lately i've spent most of my time completing a creative technologies degree at WAAPA, which was just so much fun, making tunes, vjing a fair bit at big and small gigs and lots and lots of work with the music program at Settlers Tavern in Margaret River, which is very rewarding.Over the past couple of years I've done some wikid gigs with lots of awesome friends and inspirational types including: Freq Nasty, Pendulum, Infected Mushroom, Kid Kenobi & MC Shureshock, The Freestylers, The Specials, Girl Talk, Bass Kleph, Scribe, Saul Williams, Jamie Liddell, The Presets, The Hilltop Hoods, Gotye, Blackalicious, The Midnight Juggernauts, Micah, FDEL, DJ Armee, Charlie Bucket, Breakaholics, DJ Regal, All Good Funk Alliance, Watussi, Pablo Discobar, Downsyde, FDEL, Nick Taylor, Jackie Onassid, Sean Candy, Ganga Girl, Mandala and others...Am currently working with my gorgeous boyfriend and daddy of my little bubby inside, Richard Lane on some remixes of his 1980's classics...for the next little bit i will be concentrating on my own solo audio/visual/performance show and on producing more tunes and soundvision experiments...but right now i am very very busy making another angel in my belly...with a 20 year gap between my kids, this is pretty cool thing...i'm having an 80's revival all of my own !!!Stay tuned...i promise i will update here again soon... Band Members: sometimes it's just me...and sometimes i'm one half of ChiKiPussy with my boy Pussy Shoogah...and sometimes i'm one half of ElektriCircuiTree with my best-girl Sheah (who just had the most beautiful baby boy)and then it's just me again....maybe one day we could all do a Electric-Chiki-Pussi show together, that'd be fun !!!
Influences: Most of all my beautiful daughter Daisy.............she's the best thing that ever happened to me & the most inspiring person i've ever known !!!..............Musically, The Diddywahoodaddy's & The Mendoza Brothers (you had to be there!!) and all the stuff that happended around Freo in the early to mid 80's, was lots of fun !!! Bands like The Stems, Twelve Tribes, Raiders of the Lost Dub, Dread Affair...further afield, all the dubby stuff the Clash did, Crass, Black Flag, Nina Hagen, Syd Barrett, Bauhaus and the like...Then all the wild and heart opening festivals i went to like Earth First, Down to Earth, Rainbow Festy's, Ananda Mela...lotsa world music...Sundiata Marimba Band, Greg Sheehan, Zap Mama, Utungan Percussion, loads of others who's names i can't remember, but there was definately lots of them...and there was the 90's and Byron Bay......and parties....and more parties and festivals....and more festivals...and more parties....and Earthdance...and Edgecore...and Earthcore...etc etc etc...visually it was Squiffy Vision (Byron Bay) who pryed my eyes open, then loads of the Byron/Sydney/Melbourne VJ's from the same era who's names i never knew.....more recently Freq Nasty's Video Nasty Experience and Invisible Inc, other than that, i'm still being influenced....
