Wild Marmalade are an innovative high energy Australian dance band creating totally live organic dance music, based on the timeless sounds of the didjeridu and drums.

Wild Marmalade's cutting edge sound arises from the conjunction of Si's percussive didjeridu playing with the explosive grooves of Matt Goodwin on the drum kit and Cook Island log drum. This is original Australian dance music at its wildest. Using only acoustic instruments, without any effects or samples, Wild Marmalade meld the ancient sounds of the didjeridu with contemporary techno rhythms to create fresh vibrant dance music featuring blitzing tempos and tasty grooves. Drawing on rhythms from all over the world and inspired by both indigenous sounds and the grooves of the present, Wild Marmalade's high energy shows uplift audiences with their display of powerful, joyous and infectiously danceable music.

January 2008 Update

Wild Marmalade are sorry to announce that our long time conga and percussion virtuoso and great mate Matt "Leddie" Ledgar has decided to leave the group to follow his other interests.

We thank him and wish him the very best for the future

The band are committed to continuing with their unique style of organic dance music, based around the core duo of Didj Si and Matt Goodwin, and also still featuring their best musician and dancer friends.
