Richard Lane

As a foundation and current member of Perth Garage Rock legends THE STEMS, Richard Lane has been in and out of the Australian rock scene for near on twenty years.In that time he has been involved in The Stems, with multiple world tours and several albums worth of material....Also a foundation member of THE CHEVELLESin the early nineties (recently signed to Wicked Cool USA) and his own project band with original Stems drummer Gary Chambers, THE ROSEBUD GENERATION.Over the past few years Richard has also performed as a member of Sydney based power-pop-rockers THE FOREVERS.This collaboration has led to yet another with fellow 'Forevers' member, Glen Morris (Kings of the Sun, Screaming Tribesmen). Richard and Glen are currently working on and album and preparing to tour as THE MORRIS LANE PROJECT.....Now armed with a few new tunes and a strong sense of where he wants to be, Richard has moved to the South West region of Western Australia and penned his first batch of acoustic oriented tunes for his solo project titled ‘A Penny For Your Thoughts’.... Ten tracks recorded at Soul School studios in Perth with producer Matt Jenkins from Perth psychedelic rockers The Long Strides.....Richard recently supported TIM ROGERS on the West Australian leg of his latest tour...that was fun !!!.....Curently up on this my space site are the first four tracks from that venture, entitled 'Tom The Barber', 'Dance', 'Pretty Song' and 'Come Back Again'......."Richard’s mix of pop sensibility and clear understanding of the acoustic ballad make up a set of tunes for great listening" - Rip-In Magazine......
