I was born in Egypt to Greek parents and lived there until I was a young man, when my family immigrated to the U.S. I began drawing and painting as a boy and started doing illustrations and graphic art for magazines in the 1950s. As my own style evolved, I workd more and more with the monster genre, though I've done countless westerns, men's adventure, and other forms of commercial artwork.
My monster paintings, however, are my passion. For most of my life, I thought of the print version of my work as the final product but now, for the first time, I am making my orignal paintings available. Many of my fans have expressed interest in my paintings and I am fortunate to have collectors now for these works, and representation by a great gallery in California. After doing the cover of Hellbilly Deluxe for Rob Zombie, Rob became a great advocate for my art work. Thank you Rob.
I will soon be working on a painting of Nicolas Cage as the Ghost Rider for his new movie. I'm excited about that project, as I love the character and am also a fan of Cage's work.
