Breakin The City 2007 kicks off on Sat 20-10-07 with The Artist Academy 11.00 am- 5.30pm, Bridgewater Hall, Lower Mosley St, Manchester. This is a free event!!!
The Artist Academy, involves free industry seminars from The BPI and PPL amongst others, demo reviews (bring your demo for instant review) and one on one mentoring with industry professionals and established musicians - aimed at anyone who aspires to establish a career in the music industry, fledgeling labels, managers, DIY labels, self releasing Artists and any others interested in the music industry - as well as an open mic stage for musicians previously hosted by Huw Stephens (Radio 1) , who in 2005 discovered 'Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly' at the Breakin The City open mic session.
Note to musicians, please bring guitars and other hand instruments if intending to play at the open mic.

Demo to Limo , Breakin The City are pleased to announce the return of 'Demo to Limo', the highly popular addition to the Bridgewater Hall event on Sat 20th Oct.
Bring your demos, register then spend a pleasant drive around Manchester in the comfort of a stretch limousine, discussing the merits of your work with senior figures from the Music industry.
During the day you will get the chance to learn, interact and network - previous industry panelists have included Lisa Maffia, Guy Garvey, Happy Mondays, NME, Sony-BMG, Virgin, EMI and more.
By night Break ITC Live involves unsigned nights and artist rising: the best newly signed acts of various genres (acoustic, rock, urban). Previously, Break In The City hosted 130 acts across 4 days of ITC - including:, Newton Faulkner The Subways, Mystery Jets, Boy Kill Boy, The Long Blondes, Liam Frost and more.
