DrownedinSound.com

Europe's Most Popular Independent Music Website

About Me

DrownedinSound.com was born in October 2000. DiS has grown to be Europe's most influential music site with over 450,000 users a week with some of the most active messageboards in the world. The site has an award-winning podcast (currently on hiatus), established itself as a label and promotes live shows & parties around the globe. The site was the first to tip, champion and promote shows by everyone from Bloc Party to Jamie T.
DiS was founded by Sean Adams in October 2000 along with the internet design genius of Matthew Willson and a team of 10 or so disparate proactive music fans.
DiS also has a label DROWNED IN SOUND RECORDINGS which is home to Martha Wainwright (whose debut album has sold 70k+ in the UK), Metric and Brett Anderson. DiS Recordings is also notably responsible for discovering and launching the careers of Kaiser Chiefs and Bat for Lashes. DiS Records Myspace is online here .
