About Me

Hellfire Club was set up to stitch old delta blues and magik together using patches, amplifiers and electricity. It wound up sounding like a muddy Leadbelly playing Sabbath for the Jackdaws in friars bush graveyard.
Described by AU as "Somewhere between Sonic Youth and Jonny Cash" and by Francis Jones as "Combining Backwoods Blues and raucous Rock and Roll to create a brilliantly unwholesome, down and dirty cacophony. On this evidence the Devil really has got the best tunes." (Culture NI) their dark delta murder ballads have received praise from Colin Murray and Rory McConnell on Radio 1, and radio Ulster's ATL who comissioned the video below. Raw and mighty live performances have won opening slots for BRMC and Howlin' Rain. Check the gig lists for up and coming live shows.
