About Me

If conservatives say I am brainwashed 'cos I am liberal and atheist, they must be right - or not?

Hello, this is Rita from Hungary! I am biologist, I work on the field of cardiovascular physiology and oxidative stress. Sounds impressive, eh? Music (and musicians) leaded me to myspace.com, and I find it a really useful tool to get to know music that (almost) unknown in Hungary. I use the internet to excavate informations that are hard-to-get via the old ways. Of course, I collect publications on my work (e.g. on PubMed), but also on music, literature, films, philosophy, travel and foreign cultures. I start getting to realize, how little I know. Yes, your guess is right: I am a brainiac. I plan to start a blog on these strange thinks of mine, but maybe I will be too lazy to actually write them down. Yours sincerely, RitaMyspace Layouts + Myspace GraphicsMyspace Layouts

You scored as atheism. You are... an atheist, though you probably already knew this. Also, you probably have several people praying daily for your soul.Instead of simply being "nonreligious," atheists strongly believe in the lack of existence of a higher being, or God.

Documentary - Stupidity

We all use the word, we all think we live in a world full of it and we probably are it ourselfs a great part of our time. But how do you define stupidity? And can intelligent people also be very stupid? This documentary shows a nice collection of viewpoints to the matter. I like the films of Bergman, Bunuel, Terry Gilliam and Scorsese I have a special weakness to the movies of "Schwarzi"

Television:

You mean that big grey box in the sitting room, that has a similar scope than my monitor? O.K., sometimes I want to watch something, mainly some movie film on telly. But I usually don't have time to sit there for two hours when it is broadcasted, therefore I record it. Now I have plenty of good films taped I want to see at least once in a lifetime - Orlando, Kontroll, Just a giggolo with Marlene Dietrich and David Bowie, Le charme discret de la burgeoisie and so on - I just hope I will have some time (perhaps around Christmas?) to watch them.

Books:

Cyrano de Bergerac: The Death Of Agrippina, The Hazed Pedant, Travelling To The Moon, The States And Empires Of The Sun T. Campanella: Sun City Konrad Lorenz: The Aggression, The 8 deadly Sins Of Civilized Men, The Decline Of Men Books of G. Moldova, E. Fejes, F. Móra, Csokonai, (Hungarian authors) A. Puskin (we spell his name this way)

Heroes:

Do you know the free thinkers of the XVII. century? My favourite is M. Cyrano de Bergerac. He was a genius, brave, with a great sense of humor... I uploaded his portait, if you are interested.
