I play guitar and write songs for a band called JD and the Longfellows (named after the whiskey and not an eponymous band - honest). I also occasionally play guitar and sing solo. I have played in a number of bands and written songs for different people. Some JD and the Longfellows songs appear on this site
In no particular chronological order or on merit, the bands I have been in include: JD and the Longfellows, Uncle Dave and the Butchers from Outer Space (once listed in the Top 10 all time ridiculous bands names in some now defunct national magazine), Blessed are the Cheesemakers, Macavity's Cat, Capture the Spirit, Crash Babies Ninety Foot Plunge, The Buc Buc Bucket Band and Deep Swamp Adventure (come of think of it most of this lot had ridiculous names).
I have also recently filled in on a couple of gigs for the United Stoats of America and for a while was a dancing surgeon in the Dubious Brothers.
I have also done some acting, a few TV adverts, a bit of modelling, been President of a Students' Union, become a doctor, presented research at the Science Museum, competed for Great Britain as an athlete, run the London Marathon and written some very minor articles for national newspapers, but mostly I have downed an enormous quantity of alcohol!!!
