About Me

Born and raised in the wilds of Lewisham, I escaped the south side of the river for West London. However, the strong gravitic pull of the Saaarf East has pulled me back into its web of sin and degradation - and who am I to deny sin and degradation? Exactly..
A keen interest in filmmaking has led to myself and friend Rich making some no budget shorts over the years - we currently have a feature-length dark comedy, "Incidental Weekend", in post-production (you can find out more about these at our website:- Trickshot-films.co.uk - plug plug puggity plug). If you're curious about the sort of stuff we do, click here for a short attention span, 30 second version of Star Wars...
Very difficult to sum up the splendour that is me in just a few words (although obviously the words "baldy", "beardy" and "beery" would fit in there nicley somewhere...)
Here's a trailer for the feature film we're currently editing, Incidental Weekend...

My Interests

Film making, film watching, rain on a warm day, comics, comics and more comics, laughing so hard that a little bit of wee comes out, having my bald head licked by random strangers, sci fi, occasional synchronicity, gigs, world domination (utilising the local public house as foremost base of operations, naturally), the word "plinth", drinking copious amounts of lager and then dancing badly, puppets, eating cheese before bedtime and being the owner of a beard (some of these interconnect, sometimes in strange ways).

Also, sitting down is good. But lying down is better. Standing up sucks. And running is a four letter word of which we will never speak again.

No, no. Never. Speak. Again.

I'd like to meet:

Myself at age 16 so I could tell me not to bother spending any money on hair gel/wax over the next 5 years.....

(Obviously, I would need to first meet the bloke what invented the time machine that allows me to meet myself at age 16. Otherwise there'd be the most terrible paradox)

BANDS - PAY ATTENTION NOW: - This bit's for you. You send me an out-of-the-blue "Add Friend Request", I'll send you an out-of-the-blue "Deny". It's a careful sytem. I'm sure you're very good and your mothers love you but it's just plain rude in my book.

Music:

Music is a good thing and variety is the spice of life (well, that and cumin). Here's a random list in no particular order of some singy people what I do like:- The Beatles, Queens Of The Stone Age, Curtis Mayfield, Chas 'n' Dave, We Are Scientists, Led Zeppelin, Beastie Boys, ELO, Rolling Stones, Motel Hero, Ben Folds Five, Jake Thackray, Jimi Hendrix, Madness, Gogol Bordello, Foo Fighters, The Fratellis, Plan A , Muse, Jamiroquai, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Tom Jones, Chas 'n' Dave, Honeycube, Nick Drake, Hayseed Dixie, Mark Ronson, Stone Temple Pilots, Isaac Hayes, Kaiser Chiefs, The Kinks, Pharcyde, The Zutons, Radiohead, Fantastic Plastic Machine, The Killers, Gorillaz, Chas'n' Dave, Sack Trick, Frank Sinatra, Manu Chao, Kings Of Leon, Prodigy, The Futureheads, Tenacious D, Blur, The Coral, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chas 'n' Dave, Ray Charles, Jack Johnson, The Divine Comedy, Salt N Pepa, Gnarls Barkley, Propellerheads, Aerosmith, Chemical Brothers, The Streets, Queen, Pizzicato Five, Rage Against The Machine, Nina Simone... did I mention Chas 'n' Dave at all?

Movies:

Hundreds and hundreds of the buggers. Favourites include (but are not limited to) Airplane!, Fight Club, Ghostbusters, Alien, Big Lebowski, OldBoy, Mallrats, American Splendor, Pulp Fiction, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Thank You For Smoking, Aliens, The Producers (original), The Muppet Movie, Monty Python's Life Of Brian, the Evil Dead trilogy, Annie Hall, The Princess Bride, Amelie, Bubba Ho-Tep, Clerks, Gremlins, Blazing Saddles, the Indiana Jones tilogy, Ed Wood, Brazil, The Terminator, Braindead, Memento, the Back To The Future trilogy, Jabberwocky, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Batman The Movie (60s), Withnail And I, Duck Soup, Spinal Tap and the greatest film ever made - Transformers: The Movie - the 80's one, of course, with the proper cartoon versions in it (I don't even need to mention to the original Star Wars trilogy, right? You've taken that as read, naturally...)

Television:

Yeah, loads, really. Far too much for my own good, mostly comedy and sci-fi:- Heroes; Monty Python; Blackadder; Young Ones; Spaced; Black Books; The Simpsons; Family Guy; Futurama; anything with Spike Milligan; Batman: The Animated Series; South Park; The Day Today; Knowing Me, Knowing You; Doctor Who (new and old); The Prisoner; The Muppet Show; Fraggle Rock; Sapphire And Steel; Red Dwarf; Buffy; Angel; A Bit Of Fry And Laurie; Farscape; Babylon 5; Lost; The Larry Sanders Show; Battlestar Galactica (new); Justice League; Pinky And The Brain; Ren And Stimpy; Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends; Star Wars-Clone Wars; The League Of Gentlemen; Gilbert's Fridge; Scrubs; Father Ted; Big Train; 15 Storeys High; any Reeves & Mortimer; The Tick (live action and cartoon); Trap Door; The Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy; Space Ghost Coast To Coast. That'll do for starters...

Books:

Ones with monsters. Or pirates. Or spaceships. Or robot monster pirates with lasers coming out of their eyes who fly around in big spaceships. And can travel back in time. Yeah, that would be cool.

Plus any autobiography of a vacuous know-nothing "celebrity" who is barely out of their teens (no, only joking, just the robot pirate laser monsters, really)

Heroes:

Groucho Marx, Spike Milligan, Jim Henson, Douglas Adams, Lex Luthor (and any self-respecting comic book megalomaniac)

Home Olympics

For too long now, the name of the couch potato has been much maligned. Those of a more athletic bent have scoffed, mocked and even, dare I say, pooh-poohed the more sedentary amongst us. "Fie," say th...
