Leaders Of The True School

About Me

Twisted Visionz is one of hip-hop's most talented and ambitious upcoming groups. Created in 2003 by Twist at the early age of sixteen, TV has gone through many changes to become what it is today. His motivation to create this group was the poor condition in which hip-hop seemed to be at the time. "Everything was so cliché at that time" says Twist, "it was all about money, sex and jewelry, of course you had people talking about those things in the late 80's and early 90's but you also had groups like Public Enemy who created a balance."
Upon creating TV, Twist became affiliated with MC's such as Melodiq, Shinobi, and Shaya Beyonder, as well as a young, up and coming producer by the name of Ridiculous Reeplay. Together they built upon the style of jazz/ hip-hop fusion, adopting it as their signature sound. They received positive feedback as they continued working together for the next two years. Unfortunately, in late 2004 Twist would become distant from the group after joining the Five Percent Nation Of Islam, He basically became really fixated with the whole idea of Black righteousness and he subsequently began devoting the bulk of his time to studying their teachings, thus leaving him disenchanted with the group and his eventual leave of absence.
Unfortunately, not much came of his solo ventures. Annoyed and disgruntled, Twist simply disappeared from the hip-hop scene for the remainder of that year. It would be on the eve of New Year's 2006 that this same frustration and disappointment motivated the return of Twist and his incompleted vision with TV. The Twist that returned to TV was ready to take on the Hip-Hop world along with its newest member (producer) Fundamental.
Not only did he return with a new positive attitude but he also came back with one of his best ideas yet- creating a movement that would involve MCs, Producers, DJs, graffiti artists, B-boys and anyone who respects and lives true hip-hop -he would call this the Civil Mics Movement (CMM). Inspired by the 1960's Civil Rights Movement, CMM is meant to be one of hip-hops largest movements yet and it has been created to revolutionize by using strength in numbers. Just like Martin Luther King and the Black Panthers unified and moved as a unit to fight for their rights, CMM will also unify and fight to keep Hip-Hop in its purest form.
The future of TV will be nothing less than exceptional. Their strength and their will to continue moving in the hip-hop scene, along with Twist's great leadership will definitely contribute to their success and to the legacy that they are now beginning to create.
