Growing up under the heavy influence of gospel music, melodic reggae rhythms, 80's pop and the soulful remnants of the Motown Era, Toronto based singer, songwriter Tanesha Anna~Kaye quickly honed in on her passion to sing. Music was one of her first forms of expression.Creative work has begun on Tanesha Anna-Kaye's first EP. Stay tuned, this singer, songwriter has a lot on her mind and even more melodies in her soul.Currently distracted from her own music by her passion: Grande Junction Entertainment [www.grandejunction.com],who she co-partners with two geniuses also known as Diane and Desmond. Influences: My family is my number one source of inspiration. I'm surrounded by singers writers, storytellers and comedians. I think I'm caught in a time warp because to date Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Nat King Cole are my all time favourites. I'll always have love for Chaka Khan (the original Funky Diva) Modern day influences: Jill Scott, Mariah Carey, Divine Brown, Donnell Jones, Floetry, Goapele, Amel Larrieux, The Roots and everyone else who dares to be different with no apologies. Big shout out to Toronto artists doing their thing, got nuthin but love for you, lets build.
