Since he began writing in 1997, SKiTz The Gemini has evolved from a run of the mill rapper to a focused lyricist. His explaination, "After saying the same thing 500 different ways, I started to question the merit of my work. Emcees have a responsibility to do more with their talent than just talk about how fast some female's booty can bounce." SKiTz was saved and baptized in 1999 and his lyrical growth is a reflection of his spiritual growth.
Right now I'm trying to find a middle ground between secular and Christian rap. With every verse I write I try to stay true to my Christian beliefs while still appealing to the unchurched. You can't positively influence someone if they never hear you. Matthew 9:12 "Healthy people don't need a doctor-sick people do." How can I use my gifts to reach people who don't know Christ if I only make music for Christians?
