About Me

Anointed Ones is a group of five (5) young men who have a desire to reach lives via their music. Birthed over a year now, Anointed as they are frequently abbreviated to have truly accomplished great feats in their one year existence. They have worked with the likes of producer Baby C and the talented Jah Servant and they are advised by the renown Spiritual Ninja. Anointed have truly come a great way and they are still in the baby stage, for great and wonderful things are in store for this gospel power house clan
They were birthed out of Disciples For Christ which was then led by Dwayne "Silent-Sah" Bedeau together with his younger brother Swayne. The group included Louis Lewis, Junior Ovid, Keron Woodly, the elite J Square, Mervyn and Jesse Luces. The first lady of DFC was also a talented Baby D (no relations to Baby C)
As DFC seeked to establish themselves on the local market, they were presented with an offer to merge with already recognized Mission Epistle. Without really understanding the "nitty gritty" of the merger they attended a meeting and thus J Square joined the Mission crew (check them out at www.myspace.com/missionepistle) . As they continued the group started to experience various attacks, both physical and spiritual and the DFC Empire was coming to an end. Silent-Sah after various spiritual advises also joined the Mission crew and the remaining members went on their separate ways.
It was Swayne's desire and passion to relive the glory days that really spurred on the initiation of a new group...but not just another group on the gospel market, but more like an Anointed Clan. Swayne then seeked to recruit some of the best talent he knew at the present time. He wanted solo artiste who were already making strides in their local churches. First to join him was his best friend and good comrade Keron Woodly. Next was rapper & keyboardist, Adisa "God's Farmer" Samson. Mervyn "DJ Inside Out" John also a past member of DFC was also recruited into the new clan.
The remaining member Kurvel Arrindell was later added to the clan. With these entire different artistes, with different visions and different aspirations and different forms of ministry, they were forced to put different rules and regulations in-order to keep their boat afloat.
Each member brought a different flavor and style to the group clearly a reflection of Trinidad & Tobago's multi cultural society. Thus Anointed Ones can not be considered a group who does a particular type of music, but rather a clan with different Anointed soldiers trained in different forms and areas of battle. In their camp they major in Reggae, Soca, R&B and Rap, but this doesn't stop them from dabbling in other genres of music, such as chutney, traditional gospel music...especially acapella and even rock.
At a meeting they were pondering on a name for the clan...and after many futile attempts the name Anointed Ones was chosen because of its correct depiction of how the group viewed themselves and it encouraged them to emulate the characteristics that the name presented.
From that day on they have been known as the Anointed Ones and though they are babes in the music industry they are establishing themselves as a future crew that will truly have an impact on local music and international music on a whole. The future of gospel is in good hands, for they are the called, they are the chosen they are the Anointed Ones.
