Ras Shorty I (Garfield Blackman), inventor of Soca and Jamoo, founded The Love Circle in 1979. Today the legacy continues to grow from strength to strength with Isaac and his mother Claudette "Moms" Blackman at the helm. The Love Circle has notable string of hits and they remain committed to their mission of "changing culture", "amplifying love" and promoting "family unity", through their inspirational music.
The group is made up of the youngest children of the Blackman family, as well as other powerful musicians and artistes.
"Jamoo", the indigenous genre expounded by the band, brings together spiritually conscious messages with the contemporary, world beat blend of African, Indian, and new age rhythms that wraps you in a magic all its own.
