Emerging out of the creative and vibrant music scene in the Blue Mountains, Australia - I&I started as a songwriting duo that evolved into a 4 piece reggae band.I&I's first live performance was in June 2006 and "Fight the Good Fight" and "Revolution" are recordings from the band's 3rd jam together.The music is inspired by mysticism and philosophy, particularly ideas that break down the illusion of separateness, and reveal the interconnectedness of all things.

Influences: I&I are influenced by a wide variety of musical styles including Reggae, vintage R'n'B, Soul, Funk, Blues, Jazz, Rock, and Folk.I&I are attracted to music that is less concerned with commercial appeal and more to do with soulful expression and authenticity, no matter what the genre e.g. Bob Marley and the Wailers, Toots and the Maytals, Black Uhuru, The Gladiators, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Curtis Mayfield, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Sly & the Family Stone, Funkadelic, Prince, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, The Band, Dr John, Led Zepplin, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Spearhead, Frank Zappa, Erykah Badu, India Arie, Vince Jones, Elvis Costello, Fela Kuti, Gypsie Kings, and the list goes on...
