Association of Improvising Musicians Calgary

About Me

Created for the advancement of improvised music in the Calgary area. Any musicians should email with a brief description of any projects that you are participating in so that they can be posted. This idea is to bring awareness of the original music that is being created in Calgary.Our main initiative is to bring improvising musicians of all genres together. This project was first based on the AIMTORONTO which has been extremely successful. We would like to find venues to promote live music, one indea is to have a variety of bands (2-3) per night playing each a set of music. The goal is to unite/expand the concert viewing community and the musicians involved for new collaborations and general awarness of the events going on in Calgary.
