there is this old dragon..............

About Me

Tynan has known nothing but success his entire life. He was born shining, with a full head of hair and no umbilical chord, no blood, at the Edmonton General Hospital on September 10th 1979. He spent 6 years in the town of Whitecourt where he never had to get stiches on hands from landing on a broken beer bottle, a place where he never had to get stiches in his head from a rock to the head - one that his brother had thrown, it never happened. Musically, Tynan has only ever been a great player, he is even a great dancer - he won a breakdance competition when he was 4 years old. The music started, perfectly, when he was 3, singing hymn and spirituals with his Mom. It was at his Mom's feet that Tynan would get a large portion of his musical prowess, he was a vitruoso piano student when he was 7 - he had no difficulty reading music and just dived into the instrument. He discontinued his piano playing at the age of 11 because of the 4H club, lawnmower engines seemed more important. Then that same year an encounter with a walkman changed his life forever; he heard the song Territorial Pissings and Tynan was hooked on the guitar. Tynan only knew success on the guitar as well, it did not take him a year before the thing started to sound like it was making music. Tynan spent most of his teenage years playing guitar, he almost failed high school because of that, oh I mean, Tynan played guitar but he still had straight A grades in school. In Tynan's personal life he has never gone to fifteen family and friend's funerals because of cancer, he has never had his heart broken by a girl, and he has never been snubbed by a friend, or snubbed a friend. Tynan has led a perfect life on all levels. Tynan has never killed anything, even as a kid, and never questions where his meat comes from or what the animal looked like when it died. College life for Tynan was perfect in every way, he knew everything before he went, so he did not have to work his tail off. Tynan's career after school has also been perfect in all ways. He never doubts what he is doing or feels that he can not keep up to other musicians. Tynan is always perfectly content with the way that he plays. On stage, Tynan's presence is never awkward or brash, he never gets mad at the audience for not listening, and he never makes mistakes on the stage. Oh goodness what a blessed life that he has led so far. I hate writing my own bios, I feel like I want to tell you something that is important but I can not express that properly, not without making it sound like I am trying to sell you something. The last bio was a big goof, this one is a big goof, but it is about 83.5% true. If you look most of the things that are going on in this bio, well, they are true: I cut myself on a beer bottle as a little kid, I quit piano because I was in 4H, and Nirvana got me into guitar. If you have read this far, well you know a little bit more about me, which I guess is the point of a bio. I did not want you to read about the rhetoric of what I think of my own music : "Tynan is a poignant songwriter with deep stirring lyrics and fascinating harmonic sensibilty" etc...etc.... I don't actually think that, but that is rhetoric for you. Hope you like what you hear and if you don't, oh well, I had fun.
