Influences: The Morehead Old Time Music Associations overall goal is to preserve old-time traditional music. Traditional music coincided with daily life and was regularly performed for audiences or just on a porch in the hills.
MOTMAs upcoming Old Time Fiddlers Convention is one attempt at bringing together people to relate and share in our cultural music heritage. We also hold monthly square dances and other events.. Check our Schedule!
The organization exists solely on donations and time offered voluntarily from its members and friends of traditional music. As a result we are always looking for sponsorship or just volunteers to help us reach our goals.
