Re-Inventing Americana - 1800's american music

About Me

RE-INVENTING AMERICANA - Elixir® brings it's audience a performance music that's traditional yet original, educational and just plain toe-tapping fun! This talented trio performs music from the 1800s with traditional lyrics but with some new and fresh arrangements along with their own original songs.Dressed in era costumes, they discuss the songs, history and sort of come across as The Smothers Brothers meet Peter, Paul & Mary doing classic rock and folk and jazz and raeggee versions of classic Americana.Currently on their Chautauqua Tour in 2007 and recording a fully digital new CD to go along with their 7 other CD's.Mike is also in the midst of writing 2 plays with music and writing a new booklet on the histories of the songs for the third installments of "Songs & Stories, Volume III".
