Originally from Chicago, Susan worked her way through school graduating from Columbia College, Chicago with a degree in Radio Broadcasting. She earned her first commercial radio spot for Johnson Publishing Company, while attending Columbia College.
Susan relocated to New York City performing at all the major venues and comedy clubs. She was the opening act for actress/comedienne Wanda Sykes at various universities. Per Susan, "Yeah, Wanda let me go out on the road with her a couple of times. She's a great talent and alot of fun. So you better not say nothing bad about Wanda. And don't say nothing bad about Oprah either...cause I'll kick your butt..two times!"
Upon arrival in Los Angeles, Susan continued her performance career. She’s a member of the Writers Training Program and the Writers Guild of America West. She’s been seen in commercials, television dramas and sitcoms. Her many character voices range from her famous baby cry to Macy Gray. Susan’s currently the voice of Detective Waters on the hit syndicated radio show, “It’s Your World†a soap opera on The Tom Joyner Morning Show.
Susan is a member of the Sketch comedy group, “The Comedy Playground.†They are featured at various venues including the Laugh Factory and The Comedy Union in Los Angeles. In addition, she’s performed for Michael McCarthy’s “Big News Show†and she's currently a member of his sketch comedy show.
