Meet the cast:
Cocoa Brown - comedianne/actress
If comics were made up of ingredients, and you took a dab of Richard Pryor with a dash of Jerry Lewis, a teaspoon of Marilyn Monroe and a cup of Whoopi Goldberg, you’d get a dynamic dish known as CoCoa Brown. Delivering an honest and humorous show, Brown has generated a large and loyal following. Audiences not only get a great show, but they feel as though they have gained a friend. She has a style that relates to both women and men. Brown has performed in front of a variety of audiences including Kennedy Center Honors Richard Pryor, Def Comedy Jam Tour and is currently touring with Bill Bellamy’s “Who’s Got Jokes†competition. She has appeared on nine consecutive seasons on BET’s Comic View, twice being voted “Funniest Female†on the popular show and was reigning champion in the Comedy TKO on Showtime at the Apollo. She has also been featured on Comedy Central’s “Comic Groove†with Tracy Morgan.
Her film credits include “Blue Moonâ€, “Robbin’ in da Hood†and “Mahogany Bluesâ€. Her television credits include, “The Young and The Restless,†Monday Night Football half-time show, “You Got Sacked,†, NBC’s “Las Vegas†, the comedy series, “The First Amendment†on the Black Starz channel, NBC’s “ER†and Nick Cannon’s “Short Circuitz†Sketch Comedy show on MTV. She will be a featured actress at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival in the cutting edge comedy “Biting Personalities†and just recently completed the TV pilot “Date Devil†for the BBC Network. Commercially, she was the 2006 spokesperson for SBC-AT&T Wireless internet, and made you choose Foster Farms chickens after choking an imposter in the new Foster Farm campaign and as the cell phone obsessed Mom for Albertson’s supermarkets. She also said what EVERYONE wanted to say about Delicious’ behind on the second season of VH1's “Flava of Love†.She is also preparing her one-woman show, “Confessions of a Suicide Divaâ€.
Loni Love - comedianne/actress
Loni is a 35 year old college grad, single, no kids, 5â€8, and 230 lb ball of love. Loni likes all types of men but she has a special place for handicap men. Handicap men get a check and a good parking space. Loni believes in having loving one on one relationship with a minimum of fighting if possible. In fact, Loni loves to argue with her men but she has never been hit by a man, she has been choked and shot at before. Loni believes that if a man really loves her, he should prove it. For example, he will let her hold his cell phone for one day with out worrying about calls. That’s love to Loni. The last serious relationship that Loni had was with a police officer but she had to end it because she could not introduce him to half of her family, they were suspects. Now Loni is roaming the streets again looking for Mr. Right, or Mr. Left, just not Mr. Small. Wink, wink...
If you are wondering where you’ve seen this lady, just check your DVD collection. Loni was the super funny security guard sidekick to comedian Mo’Nique in the motion picture “Soul Planeâ€. (She’s in the bootleg one, too.) You also may remember her as the only female on CBS’ new Star Search to advance to the finals in the comedy competition. And if you are like most of us, watching the “I love…whatever year it is†on VH-1, you’ve seen Loni “keeping it real†on a regular. Currently, you can catch Loni Love as the outspoken “Viola a-k-a Vi†on the NBC comedy, “Thick and Thinâ€.
Rosemary Rodriquez aka "Rose" - actress
“To all the brothers out there, holla at ya girl!!! Rose loves herself some brothers!!! Like they say, “Once you go Black...!!!†I’m 5'4", real thick in all the right places and I’d like to think of myself as beautiful, inside and out. I’m half Mexican, half Puerto Rican and I never leave home without my cell phone and a razor blade! I have a lot of confidence (most folk say I’m cocky, oh well) and I love myself, as I am, completely! I’m a social butterfly and if I had my way, would be in the club every night of the week. If I have an opinion, you’re gonna hear it and I ain’t never scared! I definitely have that “Latin temperâ€, especially if I feel like someone is trying to get over on me, and I will defend my friends to the end. My closest friends say I’m the life of the party and can get a party started at a funeral. I’m always looking for ways to enrich my life with new experiences (like what I’m doing ain’t enough), and I thrive to continuously grow spiritually ( I do want to go to heaven, despite my track record) and intellectually ( I go to school part-time, full-time is too much like a job!). But overall if I had to describe myself in a few words I would say I’m the life of the party, sweet, crazy, overly honest, rambunctious and outgoing.â€
If J.Lo had some meat on her bones, she’d be Rosemary Rodriquez a-k-a Rose. The un-disputed queen of the club, Rose is the Latin wild child with enough confidence to shut Paris Hilton down! In her world, you ain’t a diva unless you got some junk in ya’ trunk. Frequenting the clubs that cater to the “real†women of the world like Club Moxy and Curves, Rose is the girl to know if you are trying to get the club for free and drink for five dollars. Compared to her cast mates, Rose doesn’t think a damn thing is wrong with her or her size. She keeps a well stocked stable of men, (mostly brothers she has met on MySpace), and loves to get her groove on, in more ways than one. Loni and Cocoa feel like Momma when it comes to Rose, because there are no boundaries for her when it comes to having a good time. But, if nothing else, Rose or J squared as they like to call her, keeps the party and the hunt for a few good men a hilarious journey.
Ray Cunningham - reality tv star
This boastful, extraverted and opinionated Aries from the Commonwealth state of Virginia now 24 and a college graduate proclaims, "The camera makes me look thicker than I really am so now I'm forced to actually work out at the gym and not just cruise men!"
America first meet Ray last year as he made history for being the first ever gay tv personality to be featured as a talent on the highly popular BET reality series, "College Hill."
