Kevin is multi-faceted drummer, who is well-versed in many musical styles. From Jazz to Gospel and R&B to Hip-Hop. Before moving to New York, Kevin had already toured the world with Gospel greats, Jessy Dixon and BeBe & CeCe Winans, as well as Rock and Roll Hall of Famers: Curtis Mayfield & The Impressions.Upon arriving in New York, House Music had made its way to the main stream, from Chicago. Quickly, Kevin became the pulse behind world renowned House Diva's Crystal Waters, Robin S. and Sybil. He later became the Musical Director for R&B vocalist Glenn Jones, which led to stints with Freddie Jackson, Melba Moore and Stephanie Mills.Kevin managed to split his time between touring and recording. His first New York recording was with guitarist Jean-Paul Bourelly. "Playing live and recording with Jean-Paul gave me a chance to be a bit more creative and room to start developing my own voice and concept." This led to work with Grammy award winning vocalist Cassandra Wilson, Jazz Violinist Micheal Urbaniak and South African guitarist Jonathan Butler. His work with Cassandra includes the Grammy-nominated Blue Light 'Til Dawn. Kevin was also the rhythmic force behind another Grammy winner, India.Arie, in support of her critically acclaimed debut CD: Acoustic Soul.Kevin can also be heard on many multi-platinum recordings. His credits include writing and producing. Kevin is currently touring with the legendary duo Ashford & Simpson and Grammy winner, Patti Austin; while continuing to pursue writing and production opportunities. Recordings V V
