TennayaLayoutsGayle Jackson Sloan is a native of Philadelphia, but has lived in Akron, OH, Pittsburgh, PA and Washington, DC. Gayle has loved to read and write since she was four years old. Growing up, she used to write endless volumes of poetry that was inspired by the sophisticated rhythms of Maya Angelo and the freestyle of Nikki Giovanni. However, it wasn't until the passing of her beloved mother that she finally finished her first novel, "Saturday's Child," which she first self-published.Amid personal tragedies, upheavals, and general chaos, she struggled tenaciously to finish her second novel, "Wednesday's Woes," which is a follow up -- not a sequel -- to her first novel. She attended Philadelphia University where she studied interior design."Let the Necessary Occur" is her third book and she hopes her readers will enjoy it as much as her previous books. If you would like to check out excerpts of these books, please visit Gayle's webpage at: www.gaylejacksonsloan.com, or you can just check out the blogs!Get Your Own! | View Slideshow

My Interests

Writing, writing, and I did I mention writing?? LOL Oh, and occasionally gardening and interior design. Seriously though, my main focus, purpose, interest or whatever you want to call it, is writing. I enjoy having my characters tell their stories through me and I hope that whoever reads my books take something away with them when they finish or at least get a good laugh!
