I am Troy CLE, or just plain Troy from East Orange, NJ. For real, I exemplify the pros and cons of when parents afford their children the opportunities to be dreamers. Seems like the most noteworthy thing about myself is that I am the author of Marvelous World. That book of mine is based on my true life story and has started fights in NY and NJ high schools when each student cannot get one. Now, these are teens who are too cool to read. That is a big accomplishment!!!!! No other book has been able to do that and I swear the book is not what you think. Imagine that you are in your late teens or 20s, hate to read- Marvelous World. is that book that everyone, who feels that way, wants to cop.
Some think I am out there because when I met the President of Scholastic (Harry Potter), and she told me she hoped Scholastic would be the one to publish my book, I told her I was going to publish it myself and I would come back after that. Well I did publish it myself but instead of me having to go back to anyone Simon and Schuster and Random House came after me and i signed with both publishers at the same time. Yes, i signed with both.
With that being said...
This is my real life story of how to create a phenomena by doing something I wanted to do since I was 12...
Here is the score....
1. As an independent author I was able to get one of the editors of a Pulitzer Prize winning novel and of well known NY Times best selling books to edit Marvelous World.
2. I was able to get a former top artist from EA Sports who is now the head art dude at Disney's new video game company Propaganda Games to do my cover and concept work. Dude is extremely hard to get!!!
3. I was able to get Joe D. who was the visual effects designer for the blockbuster movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith to do my back cover.
4. I was able to get signed to both Random House and Simon and Schuster at the same time without an agent!
