I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I've written several novels and look forward to writing many, many more. The titles of my books are: Don't Want No Sugar; One Day I Saw a Black King; And On The Eighth Day She Rested; Blackgentlemen.com; Have a Little Faith; and This Fire Down in My Soul, scheduled to be released in April 2007! I've got a couple of kids. A daughter, Aliyah, and a son, Hayden, who is a musician and has his own page too!

My Interests

Riding motorcycles, movies, traveling, theater, dogs (I have a basset hound puppy named Peanut).

I'd like to meet:

Anybody who loves to write, loves to read, and is just all around good folks! Family, friends, nice-non-threatening, non-stalking strangers are all welcomed on My Space! Hahahaha!

Music:

I'm an old-head when it comes to music; Marvin Gaye, Anita Baker, The Temptations, Chaka Khan, Gladys Night and the Pips, The Staple Singers, Michael Jackson before and during the transistion, Prince. But I do love some of the new "message" and "meaningful" music by some newer artists like India Arie, Jill Scott, John Legend.

Movies:

Anything Sci-Fi; Fantasy; Action Adventure; and with Vampires and Zombies! My favorites are the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Pirates of the Carribean (bof of dem), the Matrix Trilogy.

Television:

CSI (whichever one is on at the time); Law & Order (the regular one and SVU). I don't dig Law & Order Criminal Intent so much because that guy seems to know every doggone thing and he just gets annoying.

Books:

Any and all of mine (smile); The River Where Blood is Born; A Woman's Worth; The Unburnable.

Heroes:

Whoever's clever. I love smart people. I adore my family. I have really smart and talented friends. Oprah. Jesus. The Dali Lama. Whoever can teach me something and enlighten my soul. These are my heros.
